LC-TEC DISPLAYS AB manufactures & supplies an 18.1 inch diagonal SVGA (800 * 600 pixels) monochrome cholesteric liquid crystal display (Ch-LCD) module.

The Ch-LCD technology offers the following advantages:

• NO POWER: No power is required in order to maintain an image. 
• READABILITY: Direct sun-light readability is excellent (reflective type display).
• EXTREME LOW TEMPERATURE OPERATION: Direct-driven, segmented Ch-LCDs operate at extreme low temperatures of minus fifty (50) degrees centigrade (-50oC).

A demo-kit is available for evaluation purposes, consisting of one (1) piece M1-S1 Ch-LCD module (blue-white) with all necessary electrical cabling to operate the display directly from a PC (RS-232 or RS-485 port). Operating software can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Download archive.
