(FOS-ECS-PA):
Electrically Commanded Surface (ECS) Planar
Alignment (PA) optical-shutter technology. Both normally white mode
(optical-shutter in light-state with no applied voltage) and normally
black mode of operation (optical-shutter in dark-state with no applied

A small battery-driven electrical-driver-box with ON/OFF switch
is available for switching of the FOS-ECS-PA optical-shutter. Please

Properties:
The FOS-ECS-PA optical-shutter technology offers
fast relaxation and activation switching speeds (activation switching
speed < 0.5ms, relaxation switching speed < 4ms) together
with high contrast (> 1:100). Maximum transmittance when in light-state approximately
42% for incident unpolarised light due to utilisation of polarisers.
Custom sizes from 5 x 5mm up
to maximum 14 * 16 inches available.
