(shutter in open-state with no applied voltage) and normally-black (NB)
mode of operation (shutter in closed-state with no applied voltage)

characteristics: FOS-ECS-PA shutter
technology offers fast relaxation and activation switching speeds
(activation switching speed < 0.5ms, relaxation switching speed <
4ms) together with high contrast (> 1:80). Maximum transmittance when
in open-state approximately 38% for incident unpolarised light due to
utilisation of polarisation sheets. Custom sizes from 5 x 5mm up to
maximum 14 * 16 inches available.
